With the last days of Fall approaching, 70 degree weather outside and a few thanksgiving themed sprinkles laying around my kitchen this morning – I decided to take advantage of the situation.
I made my favorite post workout smoothie bowl.
Ingredients:
* 1 – 1/2 frozen banana
* 3 ice cubes
* tablespoon of peanut butter powder
* 1/2 scoop vanilla or preferred protein powder
– Blend these using ninja blender to a sorbet consistency (i prefer mine ice-y)
Optional toppings:
* coconut shavings
* pumpkin seeds
*granola
* sprinkles
– The key is to not go crazy on the amount of toppings- this is meant to be a healthy-ish snack. If we overload with toppings – it defeats the intentions. My tiny bowl helps with portion control but it also looks like I didn’t take my own tip on toppings 🙂
