THE SHOWS:
XTINA VS. POST MODERN JUKEBOX
–Post Modern Jukebox – an amazing ensemble of performers who cover modern music with a 1920s style flare.
– Xtina – she brought the heat with all the classics like Genie in a bottle, Come on Over and more.
Who won best show?? —— **DRUM ROLL**
POST MODERN JUKEBOX !!! Here is why…
PMJ puts on an intimate show with no bad seat in the venue. The MC(stress) has a comfort and comical demeanor that sets the perfect tone for the rest of the show. The group has a well rounded perfect playlist of covers. The second you walk into the venue, it feels like you’ve stepped into a time machine that jetted you back in time to the 1920s. The flapper dresses, band and amazing tap dancer will leave you wanting to stick a feather in you hair while you dance the night away. I felt entertained, energized and enamored the entire hour and half we were there.
Although I’ve loved XTINA since I was about 14 years old…my girl let me down. Christina was literally on stage for about 40 minutes. She spent/wasted a lot of time on outfit changes – even though her outfits were phenomenal. I would of rather less change and more songs or add time to the show. She let her dancers do the entertaining. When I spend $250 on a ticket, I expect to be entertained by the entertainer Im there to see. I also felt she didn’t fully utilize the grand size of the stage.
OUR STAY:
Planet Hollywood – We stayed here to be close to the XTINA venue in the same hotel. However, I was disappointed in the room. They mis-booked my reservation and only had a handicap room left for us that was nonsmoking. Last time, I was upgraded to the penthouse so I suppose my expectations were a little off for this visit. I also wasn’t told about a resort fee per day until I got my bank statement.
However, I do love their pool , decor and convenient dining options inside the hotel and on the strip.

My forever reason for visiting Vegas will be the entertainment, pool side fun and F o o d!
